New Lease Development at TRC Aerodromes

Tablelands Regional Council yesterday approved an expansion of the Atherton Aerodrome including seven recreational lots and two commercial lots after an increase in demand from the aviation industry.

TRC owns, operates and maintains three aerodromes at Atherton, Herberton and Mount Garnet and in recent years there has been a rise in calls for more hangar space to be provided at the Atherton Aerodrome.

Detailed engagement was conducted with associated local aviation stakeholders to inform a project management plan and an increase in revenue income for TRC and improved community service were some of the outcomes identified.
