A New Plan For The Tablelands Community

After months of discussion and collaboration, the new community plan for the region — Tablelands 2030+ — has been released.

‘We worked with partner organisations and residents to create this community roadmap to guide Council decision making, services and priorities.

‘The plan is centred on five priority areas — environment, community, healthy lifestyles, infrastructure and economy.

‘Within each of these are six key aims and, across all areas, we’ve identified 114 desired outcomes.

‘The responsibility for achieving some of the outcomes falls to Tablelands Regional Council, while others will be achieved through collaboration and partnerships, and others will require advocacy to federal and state government.

‘We are committed to working towards achieving the aspirations and desires of the community outlined in the community plan.

‘This long-term vision for the Tablelands is our community’s document, and they should be proud.

‘I commend the focus groups and other people in the community who contributed to the plan and helped to identify the desired future we want to achieve,’ said Mayor Rod Marti.
