The Dimbulah community has completed the first stages of the community planning process. The council is now compiling this information into a poster to inform the community of the findings to this stage. This will complete the town / district specific process for Dimbulah.

Vision for 2011 - 2021

In 2021, Dimbulah is growing gradually in a sustainable way to protect the environment.  We enjoy a safe and casual lifestyle where everyone is well connected to one another and we have a strong sense of belonging.  We have good services and facilities and Dimbulah is a town people want to stay in and move to.

Dimbulah's excellent sporting facilities are well maintained and used to their full potential.  If anyone has an accident on the weekend, they can be attended to at the Dimbulah Health Clinic which is open 7 days a week and can be checked on later in the week by a visiting Doctor.

Top issues for Dimbulah residents

The most important issues identified by the community were:

  1. Fulltime doctor service required
  2. Improved health services and facilities
  3. Improved and more sport and recreation facilities (e.g. skate park, basketball court, netball, walking/bike paths)
  4. More Youth Activities
  5. Accommodation & support Services for elderly residents
  6. More jobs required

This list priorities came about as part of two separate exercises. The first was a survey using both print and web based survey forms, the second resulted from a prioritisation exercise where participants chose to allocate dots against issues which are important to them.
