Stray Cattle

Cattle straying on roads can cause accidents which owners can be liable for.

If you keep cattle, you must ensure their fences and gates are appropriately constructed and maintained to ensure animals don't cause hazards.

Council may impound stray cattle or seek reasonable costs of removing the animals from the owner.
