Community cash grants available

Tablelands Regional Council invites applications from eligible, not-for-profit community organisations to apply for cash donations up to $3,000 under the Financial and In-Kind Support Program.

Applications close at 4.45pm on Monday, 1 March 2010 and must be made on the relevant application form. No late applications will be accepted.

The purpose of the Financial and In-kind Support Program is to provide financial assistance to community organisations in order to:

• Contribute to the social, economic, cultural and environmental benefit and wellbeing of residents in the Tablelands region;
• Support the fabric of community life in the region including supporting festivals, community events and celebrations;
• Support not-for-profit groups and organisations that rely on volunteers;
• Provide seed funding for new initiatives; and
• Increase the capacity of community organisations to leverage other sources of funding for community projects.

Two funding rounds will be held each year for cash donations - September and March.

Please note that applications for in-kind assistance can be made at any time throughout the year.
