Ombudsman

The Queensland Ombudsman investigates complaints about the actions and decisions of Queensland's state and local government agencies or their staff that may be made for the following reasons:

  • improper purpose
  • irrelevant grounds
  • illegal or contrary to law
  • unreasonable or unjust
  • improperly discriminatory
  • based on a mistake of law or fact
  • made without giving reasons

As an independent complaints investigation agency, it makes sure that public agencies act fairly and make the right decisions for Queenslanders.
