Library membership is free for permanent residents of the Tablelands region and is required to borrow items.
Services and facilities available from the library network include:
- Computers- bookings can be made in person or by phoning a library. Word processing is free and charges apply for internet use and printing. Internet access is available from most libraries.
- Photocopying
- Laminating (Malanda, Millaa Millaa and Yungaburra libraries only)
- Home delivery of library materials for the housebound
- Children's activities
- Storytelling & craft
- Community language materials
- Reference services
- Inter-library loans for books that TRC libraries don’t hold
- Michrofiche reader for family history research and genealogical information such as Queensland births, deaths and marriages (Atherton and Mareeba libraries only)
- Local history collections

- Library tours for community groups and schools (by appointment)
