| Tablelands Infrastructure Regional Mareeba Atherton Malanda Herberton Council

Council is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the road, water and sewerage networks in the shire.

To report poor conditions such as potholes, dead animals, requests for line marking, water leaks or sewerage blockages phone 1300 362 242 if of a critical nature, or lodge a report online.

Planning and development manuals for the region are available from the Far North Queensland Regional Organisation of Councils (FNQROC) website.  

Future Planning

 

  • Roads

    The Tablelands road network consists of sealed, gravelled, formed and unformed roads.
  • Malanda Sewerage Scheme

    Preliminary work is underway on the Malanda sewerage scheme with pits dug along proposed sewer routes.
  • Water

    Across the Tablelands, town water comes from local rivers and lakes which is treated to meet Australian Standards.
  • Works

    Schedule of major projects, maintenance and capital works throughout the shire.
