In accordance with Statutory Guideline SG02/09 under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009, Tablelands Regional Council gives notice of its proposal to amend the Mareeba Shire Planning Scheme 2004 by:
A copy of the proposed amendments to the Planning Scheme is available for inspection and purchase at Tablelands Regional Council service centres at 65 Rankin Street, Mareeba; 45 Mabel Street, Atherton; 31 James Street, Malanda; and 40 Grace Street, Herberton.

Information on the proposed amendments to the Planning Scheme can also be obtained by telephoning Council's Urban and Regional Planning Group on 1300 362 242 during normal office hours.
Any person may, on or before the 29 March 2012, make a written submission to the Chief Executive Officer, Tablelands Regional Council, PO Box 573, ATHERTON QLD 4883, about any aspect of the proposed Planning Scheme.

The planning schemes for the areas previously under the control of Atherton, Eacham, Herberton and Mareeba Shire Councils will remain valid until a new planning scheme is prepared for the region and approved through extensive community consultation.

Notice is given that on 12 May 2010 Tablelands Regional Council adopted an amendment to the 2006 Planning Scheme for the former Eacham Shire Council. The amendment only applies to that part of the planning scheme area described as Lot 267 on NR8023 and situated at 234 Junction Road, Mungalli.
The purpose of the amendment is to give effect to a 1998 decision by the former Eacham Shire Council to approve the rezoning of part of Lot 267 on NR8023 to Special Facilities (Tourist Accommodation). A copy of the planning scheme amendment is available for inspection and purchase at Council's Atherton, Malanda, Herberton and Mareeba offices
