How to provide input

With the community’s advice and guidance, Council seeks to develop a framework for managing urban and regional development in the Tablelands which is sustainable, transparent and fair. Therefore, we aim to provide many opportunities for you to have your say on this important project.

From July to September 2009, Council ran twelve community workshops across the region, and held four key sector sessions, to canvas views and values to inform the development of the new planning scheme. To read the results of this consultation, click here.

A postcard survey was circulated throughout the community, via local papers, the Council website and at all Council service centres, libraries and community centres. The survey closed on the 9 October in 2009. Read the Regional Postcard Survey 2009 Outcomes Report by clicking here.

If you were unable to attend these workshops or fill in a survey, there are still plenty of opportunities and multiple ways in which you can stay informed or participate in the development of the new Tablelands Regional Council planning scheme.

The following table illustrates how the new planning scheme will be developed, and the colours highlight critical points when the community will be invited to provide input.
