Land Management Plans

The Local Government Act (1999) requires Council to develop management plans for community land either owned or under its care and control. These plans show the way in which the land is to be used taking into account a diverse range of recreation, conservation and other issues.

Presentation of Draft Land Management Plan seeking submissions from the Public
 

Council has prepared and is proposing to adopt a Land Management Plan for the above reserve and invites submissions from the public as to whether you agree or disagree with the content of the Plan. This is part of the approval process required by DERM (Department of Environment and Resource Management).

The goals and objectives of the plan are to clarify the purpose of the Reserve, resolve any conflicts of use and to ensure sustainable management of the Reserve for the benefit of the community.

The community is advised that copies of the Land Management Plan (5.72MB) are available for inspection at the following locations: Tablelands Regional Council Atherton Office 45 Mabel Street Atherton, Yungaburra Library, Yungaburra Post Office and also here on Council's website. Submissions should be forwarded to the Chief Executive Officer, Tablelands Regional Council, P O Box 573, Atherton Qld 4883.
