Home Assist Secure is provided through funding from the Queensland Department of Housing and Public Works. Through the program, you may be able to obtain subsidised assistance with minor home maintenance, repairs, modifications and security that impact your health, safety and security.
To be eligible for free information and referrals you must meet the following criteria;
(a) for free information and assistance means people who are homeowners or live in rental housing and who are:
- 60 years or over; or
- of any age with a disability
(b) in addition to satisfying the above criteria, to receive subsidised assistance, ‘Eligible Person’ means people who:
- hold a current Pensioner Concession Card; and
- do not posses the appropriate skills to undertake the work or whose health or safety would be at risk if they undertook the work themselves: and
- are unable to make use of alternative forms of assistance such as Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSPP), Queensland Community Care (QCC), Veterans Affairs, family or friends.
