To use this new online service all you need to do is be a library member and have access to the internet. Members can borrow and download up to four e-Audio books every two weeks.
Whether you're interested in fiction, business advice, biographies, lifestyle writing or stories for adults and children, you're sure to find the perfect title in the library catalogue of over 200+ titles.

Featuring the very best of Australian and international writers, library members will have access to authors they have long admired, and others they may not have read. Writers such as Bryce Courtenay, Kate Morton, Stephanie Meyer, Elizabeth Gilbert and Richard Branson will all be available for download.

And if you are worried about not getting the latest reads no need to stress, each month a variety of new release titles will be added to the catalogue.
Library membership is free to Tablelands residents. To join visit your local branch and provide proof of residential address, children under 18 years must be joined by a parent or guardian who must show proof of current address.

What is an e-Audio book?
An e-Audio book is the digital version of an audio book in an MP3 format.

What is a .zip file?
A .zip file is a file that has been compressed to reduce its size and make it quicker to download.

Do I need software to download an e-Audio book?
No, to download an e-Audio book you only require a media manager or media device that is MP3 compatible.

What operating systems are supported?
All operating systems are supported, so long as you have an internet connection, compatible web browser and a media manager or device.

What internet browsers are supported?
While this service will work on every browser, using IE8 for Windows users and Safari for Mac users is recommended.

Can I browse without borrowing?
Anyone can browse our collection, but to download a title library members need:

• Library Membership number
• PIN number registered on their library record
• An email address to receive notification of the loan and to agree to terms and conditions.

How do I search for an e-Audio book?
Quick search option
This allows you to search by keyword, title, author or narrator. This option is located on the right side of the top menu.

Advanced search
Advanced Search is located below the Quick search bar. This will direct you to a new page that allows you to select search criteria from a more detailed list (e.g. Category, Genre, Awards, etc).

A search results page will then be shown that lists all titles relating to your search criteria.
You can choose how these results are sorted by selecting from the dropdown list on the right side titled 'Sort By'.
You can also click on e-Audio books on the left hand side of the top menu and then filter using the options available, or you can browse by category.

How do I borrow an e-Audio book?
Click on the Borrow button below the title's cover.
This will take you to the loan confirmation page. Click Confirm Loan.
This will take you to the loan successful page. Choose to continue browsing or download your loan.
A loan confirmation email will also be sent to your nominated email address.
This title will now be visible beneath Active Loans/Reserves on the right side of your My Account page.
The loan period is 14 days and you can have a maximum of four loans or reserves at one time.
At the end of the loan period, the file must be deleted.

How do I reserve an e-Audio book?
Click on the Reserve button below the title's cover.
This will take you to the reserve confirmation page. Click Confirm Reserve.
This will take you to the reserve successful page. Click on the Continue Browsing button.
A reserve confirmation email will also be sent to your nominated email address.
This title will now be visible beneath Active Loans/Reserves on the right side of your My Account page.
An email will be sent to your nominated email address when the title is available for download.
Once you have confirmed a reserve it cannot be cancelled.
You can have a maximum of four loans or reserves at one time.

You can log into your account and click on the Help link which contains lots of useful information about downloading, unzipping, deleting and more.
