2011 Pre-Cyclone Clean-Up

| Cyclone 2011 Waste Up Clean Pre-cyclone

Tablelands Regional Council will soon be conducting  the annual Pre-cyclone Clean-up.   This clean-up service is provided to Pensioners or Disabled residents in the Council area who currently receive a kerbside waste collection service.

Registrations will be accepted from Thursday 20 October until close of business Monday 7 November 2011.

Call 1300 362 242 to register and submit your property address.

No registrations will be accepted after this date (7 November 2011).

The program will run from 7 - 27 November 2011.

The collection schedule is as follows: Kuranda; Julatten; Mareeba; Dimbulah; Mt Molloy; Walkamin; Atherton; Tolga; Yungaburra; Malanda; Tarzali; Millaa Millaa; Herberton; Ravenshoe; Millstream; Mutchilba; Mt Garnet; and Innot Hot Springs.
(Please note we are unable to provide exact times or dates of pickups in your area.)

The following waste items are considered a hazard in a cyclone and will be collected:  Green Waste; Iron Sheeting; Timber; and Loose Items. (Note: Council will not accept white goods, furniture, household rubbish, car bodies or tyres)

Please assist Council in delivering a smooth and efficient Pre-cyclone Clean-up operation:

  • Materials for collection must be presented in 1 pile located on footpath in front of property.
  • It must be presented PRIOR to Monday 7 November  - the scheduled collection period (or it may not be collected and Council will not return at a later date)
  • TRC staff are unable to enter ANY property (no matter if resident requests for this) under any circumstances.

All residents are urged to clean up their properties in readiness for the cyclone season.   Waste can be taken to Council's waste transfer stations or landfills free of charge.
